Our Clinical Approach
Cherry Hills Recovery uses evidence-based treatment models tailored to everyone’s needs:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Cherry Hills Recovery uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients recognize unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors that fuel anxiety, depression, and substance use, and replace them with healthier ways of thinking and coping.
Experiential Therapy
Experiential therapy is a core part of our clinical approach—designed to help individuals move beyond insight and into lived, emotional change.
Recovery Oriented Systems of Care (ROSC)
Cherry Hills Recovery adopts a Recovery-Oriented System of Care by delivering individualized, trauma-informed treatment across a full continuum of care, with seamless transitions and multidisciplinary support.
This approach extends beyond discharge through alumni engagement and ongoing recovery support, promoting long-term wellness and sustainable recovery.
Spiritual Care
Spiritual Care at Cherry Hills Recovery offers a personalized, non-denominational space for clients to explore meaning, purpose, and connection as part of their recovery journey.
Through practices such as mindfulness, values exploration, guided reflection, and optional spiritual or faith-based support, clients are supported in strengthening resilience, fostering hope, and reconnecting with a deeper sense of self—enhancing overall emotional well-being and long-term recovery.
Somatic Therapy
Somatic therapy is a foundational part of our clinical approach—focused on how the body stores, processes, and releases stress, trauma, and emotional experiences.
Rather than relying solely on talking through challenges, somatic therapy helps individuals tune into physical sensations and nervous system responses, building the ability to regulate, feel safe, and respond more intentionally in real time
Trauma Therapy
Cherry Hills Recovery helps clients better manage intense emotions, handle stress without turning to harmful behaviors, and improve communication in relationships.
Clinical approaches may include DBT, Mentalizing, EMDR.
Measurement-Based Care (MBC)
Measurement-Based Care is a core part of how we deliver high-quality, accountable treatment. It means we don’t rely on guesswork—we use structured, validated tools to track progress, guide clinical decisions, and ensure each individual is moving forward in a meaningful way.
LICENSED THERAPISTS
INDIVIDUAL THERAPY
Individual therapy at Cherry Hills provides a safe, supportive space for personal reflection and growth. Working one-on-one with a skilled therapist, you’ll explore challenges, process past experiences, and develop tools for resilience and lasting recovery. Sessions are tailored to your unique needs and scheduled to fit your lifestyle, ensuring a personalized approach to your healing journey.
Mindfulness
EXPERIENTIAL & SKILLS BASED INTERVENTIONS
Cherry Hills Recovery uses experiential therapy to help clients connect with themselves in meaningful, hands-on ways through mindfulness, somatic practices, values-based work, and art therapy—supporting emotional awareness, healing, and lasting change.
Daily group support
GROUP THERAPY
Group therapy is a form of psychotherapy where a licensed therapist facilitates a small group of clients together. Research shows that healing is most effective within the context of supportive relationships. Guided by experienced professionals, group members provide one another with compassion, encouragement, and connection, creating a space for deeper and more meaningful healing than individual therapy alone.
peer coaching
RECOVERY SUPPORT
Cherry Hills Recovery offers peer coaching and recovery support by connecting clients with individuals who have lived experience, providing guidance, encouragement, and real-world insight to help navigate early recovery and stay connected beyond treatment.
MEDICATION MANAGEMENT
PSYCHIATRIC SUPPORT
Cherry Hills Recovery offers psychiatric support as needed, including coordination with each client’s current medical providers to ensure thoughtful medication management. This collaborative approach helps support individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use challenges as part of their overall treatment plan.
Recovery Planning
RELAPSE PREVENTION
Cherry Hills Recovery provides relapse prevention support to help clients identify triggers, strengthen coping skills, and build a clear plan for maintaining recovery. For those returning to treatment, additional support is offered to stabilize, reset, and re-engage in care with a renewed focus on long-term success.
